How to Maximize Your Earnings as a Host

You can't control how many families are searching in your area, but you have a lot of control over whether your listing is the one they pick. Here's what's actually in your hands.
Fill out everything, not just the minimum
A listing with a title, a few photos, and a price is enough to go live — but it's not enough to stand out. Add a real description of what makes your space good for play, fill out every amenity that applies (fenced, shaded, water access, restroom, parking, play structure, grass surface, pet-free), and be thorough on the safety checklist. Families are choosing between listings based on exactly these details.
Use all the photos you're allowed
You can upload up to 25 photos per listing. Show the whole space, not just one wide shot — the fenced perimeter, the play structure up close, the shaded seating area, the entrance guests will actually use. A listing with five or more photos covering different parts of the space gives a family a much clearer picture of what they're booking than one with a single photo.
Keep your calendar genuinely open
A space that's only bookable two hours a week isn't going to get booked much, no matter how nice it is. Set your weekly hours generously where you can, and use blackout dates for the specific days you actually need off rather than leaving your whole schedule narrow by default. The calendar view makes it a one-tap toggle to block or unblock a day as your plans change.
Consider turning on Instant Book
Request-to-book is the default, and it's a good fit if you want to review every guest first. But every request that sits unanswered is a guest who might book somewhere else instead. If you're comfortable with how things work, Instant Book confirms qualifying bookings automatically, so you're not the bottleneck between a family and their afternoon plans.
Respond quickly
If you're not using Instant Book, you have 24 hours to accept or decline a request — but there's no reason to wait that long. A guest deciding between a few listings is more likely to go with whoever answers first. The same goes for messages: quick replies build trust before a guest even arrives.
Price it to get booked
There's no single right price — it depends on your space, your area, and what similar listings are charging. If you're not getting bookings, your price relative to what else is nearby is one of the first things worth reconsidering. You're always in control of your hourly rate and can change it anytime.
Let good reviews work for you
Guests rate your space on cleanliness, accuracy, check-in, communication, location, and value, plus an overall rating — and families can sort search results by top rated. Consistently matching what your listing promises (accurate photos, the amenities you listed, a clean space at check-in) is what turns into reviews that help the next family choose you.
